Two people have successfully found love after meeting at a supper club in Winchester.
Amanda, 53, of Winchester, was single for a year before meeting her new partner Mike, 57, of Salisbury, in November at a singles supper club for people aged 40 to 60, called Across The Table (ATT).
Founded by Winchester resident Tina Richards, ATT offers an offline alternative to dating apps and speed dating where people are able to connect in a friendly, informal atmosphere. The event begins with a drink and time to mingle before dinner, sparing guests from awkward icebreakers or the pressure of dating apps.
Mike and Amanda spent the evening talking throughout the meal and lingered at the bar afterwards. They then exchanged numbers, went on a first date and were soon spending much of their time together.
Not long afterward, what began as a chance conversation turned into rooftop dinners, bustling souks, and a New Year in Morocco together.
